Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at BWX Technologies. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for our nuclear energy projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed designs for electrical systems, including circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams, and bill of materials.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, software, and systems engineering.
  • Ensure designs meet safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input on design improvements.
  • Liaise with customers to gather site-specific design information.
  • Assist in the development of technical documentation, including user manuals and technical specifications.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical design and development.
  • Experience with CAD software, including AutoCAD and Inventor.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and circuit design.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in the nuclear industry.
  • Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) or greater qualification.
  • Membership in OACETT or other certifying organization.
