Job Title: Tool and Die Maker

Agilus is seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our team in the Automotive Industry in Cambridge, Ontario. As a key member of our Toolroom team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various toolroom machinery, including jig borers, job grinders, and duplicating machines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute the development and proofing of dies, including blanking dies, forming dies, draw dies, and progressive dies, with a focus on high complexity and precision.
  • Break down jobs into manageable tasks for employees in related machining and tooling classifications, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
  • Design and create sketches for machining tool details, suggesting design changes and modifications to enhance construction and usability.
  • Work to sample parts, tool design drawings, sketches, accepted shop practices, oral instructions, or standard tool manuals to achieve required tolerances.
  • Perform tool and die tryout and maintenance duties as required, including duties of a maintenance Die Maker.
  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment, adhering to Section 28 of the OHSA and contributing to good housekeeping practices.

  • Certified Tool & Die Maker
  • Ability to read and write English
