Electrical Technician Job Description

MKD ELECTRICAL is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our team. As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for supervising the building and testing of prototypes, assisting in design, development, and testing, and preparing estimates, schedules, specifications, and reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the building and testing of prototypes to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Assist in design, development, and testing of electrical and electronic systems.
  • Prepare estimates, schedules, specifications, and reports for electrical and electronic projects.
  • Write specifications for electrical and electronic systems.
  • Assist in inspecting, testing, and adjusting electronic components.
  • Calibrate electronic equipment and instruments.
  • Conduct safety training programs for electrical and electronic systems.
  • Assist in building and testing prototypes to specifications.
  • Collect and compile operational or experimental data for electrical and electronic systems.
  • Carry out applied research in fields of electrical and electronic engineering and physics.
  • Conduct or supervise the installation, commissioning, and operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems.
  • Set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test, and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems.
  • Complete work orders, test, and maintenance reports for electrical and electronic systems.
Work Environment

The Electrical Technician will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure. The role involves a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with standing for extended periods and handling heavy loads.

Requirements
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in electrical and electronic engineering and physics.
  • Permanent employment with 30 hours per week.
  • English language proficiency.
