Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Assistant Cook to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in food preparation, cooking, and presentation. If you have a passion for cooking and a commitment to excellence, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high-quality dishes.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies as needed.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
  • Order supplies and equipment as required.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers as needed.
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Safe Food Handling certificate.
