At Universal Truck & Trailer, we are seeking a highly skilled Mobile Service Team Leader to join our team in Saint John. In this role, you will be responsible for the supervision and coordination of projects, ensuring productive relationships with supervisors and managers, and monitoring of costs and schedules.

As a Mobile Service Team Leader, you will contribute to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies, and practices. Your responsibilities will include managing the productivity of the mobile service fleet, achieving results through effective communication, planning, monitoring, and coaching employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the mobile service fleet's productivity
  • Achieve results through effective communication, planning, monitoring, and coaching employees
  • Ensure profit and loss responsibility
  • Handle customer issues professionally and effectively
  • Maintain a safe environment and quality service by establishing and applying organization standards, systems, policies, and procedures
  • Create schedules and staffing requirements based on priorities and ensure submission of accurate and timely payroll documents
  • Utilize work/repair orders systems and processes
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to 5S and Elite support standards
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all repair orders
  • Schedule regular maintenance, registration, and licensing for all mobile unit vehicles
  • Ensure mobile unit vehicles and drivers comply with Transport Canada regulations

Qualifications:

  • Post-Secondary University Degree
  • Experience in the heavy equipment industry or automotive repair environment
  • Truck and trailer experience is considered an asset
  • Experience working with OEM warranty processes
  • Ability to energize, empower, and engage teams to achieve results
  • Capacity to deal with conflict and adversity when leading teams through change
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Team-oriented and independent self-starter
