The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator/Material Handler to join our team at our Smithville facility. This is a permanent, full-time position with a competitive compensation package.
Available Shifts
We offer 8-hour bi-weekly rotations (midnights, afternoons, days) with the possibility of 12-hour rotating shifts if production demands it. The ideal candidate should be able to work both 8 and 12 hour shifts.
Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift to move raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods in a safe and efficient manner.
- Assure inventory accuracy and maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Perform inventory counts, order materials, and arrange shipments as required.
- Support other departments as necessary to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain excellent safety and quality records.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and production efficiency.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a forklift role within a busy manufacturing environment.
- Current forklift certification is preferred.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
- Able to work effectively individually and in a team environment.
