Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at Island Health. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the growth of our healthcare services.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will possess strong knowledge of computed tomography procedures, medical imaging systems, and patient information systems. They will be responsible for operating CT scanners, preparing patients for scans, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities
  • Perform computed tomography scans on patients following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Prepare patients for scans by explaining procedures, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of scan results and patient interactions.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field from an accredited institution.
  • CAMRT certification and registration as a Medical Imaging Technologist (MIT).
  • One year of recent experience in a hospital setting, preferably in computed tomography.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
