About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Safety and Compliance Specialist. In this role, you will contribute to the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Master the Art of Safety Verification - Develop and implement safety protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Be a Safety Mentor - Provide training and guidance to employees on safety procedures and protocols, promoting a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Innovate with Human Performance Concepts - Develop and implement strategies to enhance human performance and reduce workplace injuries and illnesses.
  • Champion Mental Health and Wellness - Support the development and implementation of mental health and wellness initiatives, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Drive Safety Initiatives - Collaborate with the Operations Integrity team to develop and implement safety initiatives and projects, driving a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Strategize for Safety Success - Provide support in strategically implementing safety team key focus areas and tactics, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Embrace Diverse Opportunities - Be prepared to take on other exciting tasks and responsibilities as required, promoting a culture of adaptability and continuous learning.
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of safety principles and protocols. The ideal candidate will have a background in occupational health and safety, with experience in safety management and compliance.

  • Education and Qualifications - Current enrollment in an OH&S related post-secondary program, with a strong understanding of safety principles and protocols.
  • Leadership Skills - Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to act as a positive role model and promote a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Communication Skills - Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and confidently to various audiences.
  • Technical Skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience in safety management software and systems.
