About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our team as an Assistant Director of Nursing. As a key member of our Nursing Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our residents. You will provide strategic leadership and support to our nursing staff, ensuring that our residents receive the best possible care. This includes planning, organizing, supervising, directing, coordinating, and evaluating the work of our care staff. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations, such as the Fixing Long-Term Care Act and Regulated Health Professions Act. In addition, you will develop and implement policies and procedures related to resident care and nursing services, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal resident outcomes, participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits, and share on-call responsibility with other members of the Nursing Leadership team.

Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and management to resident care staff
- Ensure compliance with legislation and regulations
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to resident care and nursing services
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal resident outcomes
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits
- Share on-call responsibility with other members of the Nursing Leadership team

What We Are Looking For
We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional who can provide effective leadership and support to our nursing staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in long-term care, geriatric experience, and administrative expertise. They will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with others. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills are also essential for this role.

Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or equivalent
- Member in good standing with the College of Nurses
- Minimum two years of experience in long-term care
- 3-5 years of geriatric experience
- 3-5 years of administrative experience
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with others
