Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our team at CB Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately recording all day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining financial records, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Manage collections, order entry, and customer service
  • Prepare and file GST & PST returns for subsidiaries
  • Prepare, review, and analyze the budget on a monthly basis
  • Compile budget-related information for various departments and recommend improvements
  • Establish month-end process and provide financials and supporting schedules
  • Prepare year-end reports and make necessary adjustments
  • Submit monthly Statistics Canada Surveys for general manufacturing and production operations
  • Provide Tonnage and Mill data quarterly based on US Sales reported for US States remittances
  • Identify and implement areas for improvement within A/R, A/P, and payroll process
Requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Accounting Diploma/Certificate or BS Accounting is an asset
  • Strong aptitude for accounting concepts and processes with 3 – 5 years of experience in practical bookkeeping
