Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team at Ottawa Transport. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods across the country.
Key Responsibilities:- Route Planning: Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
- Customer Service: Provide professional service to customers, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Documentation: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
- Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, using GPS and other navigation equipment.
- Licenses and Certifications: AZ class license and valid driver's license.
- Experience: Will train, but previous experience in heavy goods transport is an asset.
- Physical Demands: Ability to handle heavy loads, work in a physically demanding environment, and sit for extended periods.
