About the Role

We are seeking an Electrical Engineering Technologist to join our team at BC Hydro. As an Electrical Engineering Technologist, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our electrical distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our engineering team to design and implement electrical distribution systems that meet the needs of our customers.
  • Conduct site visits to inspect and maintain electrical equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement energy efficiency initiatives to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Work with our operations team to troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues in a timely and efficient manner.

Requirements
  • College/CEGEP diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in electrical distribution systems or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
Language and Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week. The work language is English.
