Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineering Specialist to join our team at Randstad Canada. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for collaborating with requirements engineers to develop technical requirements, verification approaches, and verification methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Vehicle Architect in developing system and sub-system architectures, ensuring consistency with developed requirements
  • Monitor and maintain the integrity of product structure, system architecture, requirements, and compliance throughout the product development cycle
  • Ensure engineering design activities align with internal Systems Engineering principles and best practices
  • Support definition and control of sub-system interfaces
  • Conduct technical meetings and manage engineering workbooks, including design information and progress reporting
  • Record and track project risks and risk mitigation actions, as identified by Design Engineering, SE, VA, and Project Engineering
  • Facilitate the development, preparation, review, and approval of project documentation, including checkpoint reviews
  • Support Engineering Project Management with the development and technical execution of Integrated Master Schedules for SE scope

Requirements:

  • University degree or college diploma in Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Software
  • Strong technical and analytical ability
  • Basic knowledge of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to give presentations to internal and external customers
  • Superior organizational skills with the ability to be agile, set priorities, and multitask under pressure

Preferred Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage budgets and schedules
  • Product knowledge of Military/LAV family of vehicles
  • Strong knowledge of cross-departmental procedures and practices
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle design practices
  • Exposure to Software Development or Software Requirements
  • Basic understanding of requirements development and system verification processes
  • Working knowledge of Systems Engineering Fundamentals
