We are seeking a skilled Loader Operator to join our Winter Maintenance team at Colas, a leading provider of construction and maintenance services in Canada. As a Loader Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our heavy equipment fleet.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain a variety of heavy equipment, including skid steers and front-end loaders, to support winter maintenance operations.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as fluid level checks, cleaning, and minor repairs, to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and complete maintenance records and daily equipment logs.
- Assist in winter operations, including snow removal and ice control, as needed.
- 1-2 years' experience operating heavy equipment, particularly with a loader.
- G License and clean driving abstract.
- Ability to work assigned shifts, including evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays, as winter events require.
- Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions.
- Mechanically inclined.
