About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Barn Nork Restaurant Ltd. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for planning and executing menus, training staff, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the needs of our customers.
    • Estimate food requirements and manage inventory to minimize waste and optimize profitability.
  • Culinary Leadership
    • Train and mentor kitchen staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
    • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and safe food preparation and service.
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage inventory of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure we have what we need to deliver exceptional service.
    • Maintain accurate records of inventory and supplies to inform purchasing decisions.
  • Cleanliness and Safety
    • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment that meets health and safety standards.
    • Ensure all kitchen staff follow proper food handling and preparation procedures.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Other trades certificate or diploma.
    • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Dependability and reliability.
    • Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
