Job Summary:

The successful candidate will assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This role involves providing a safe and nurturing environment for infants and toddlers, maintaining daycare equipment, and engaging children in activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.

Responsibilities:
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers
  • Maintain daycare equipment and ensure a clean and safe environment
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote child development
  • Encourage children to express creativity through various activities
  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
  • Basic security clearance, criminal record check, and Child Abuse Registry check
Work Environment:

This role is based in a child care centre, and the successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a team of dedicated professionals.
