About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Landscaping Supervisor to join our team at Captain Handy Inc. As a key member of our outdoor services team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and construction of our clients' outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hiring and Supervision: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of grounds maintenance staff to ensure high-quality work and efficient operations.
  • Grounds Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive plans for grounds maintenance, including scheduling, resource allocation, and budgeting.
  • Construction and Installation: Oversee the construction and installation of decks, decorative walls, and other outdoor features, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend its lifespan.
  • Supply Chain Management: Source and procure materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to support grounds maintenance and construction activities.
  • Problem-Solving and Quality Control: Identify and resolve work-related issues, provide technical guidance, and implement measures to improve productivity and quality.
  • Work Scheduling and Procedures: Establish and maintain efficient work schedules and procedures to ensure seamless operations.
Work Environment and Requirements
  • Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding role requiring regular lifting, bending, and standing.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
