Aircraft Painter Job Description

At New United Goderich Inc., we are seeking a skilled Aircraft Painter to join our team. As an Aircraft Painter, you will be responsible for stripping, cleaning, and prepping aircraft for exterior refinishing, as well as painting the exterior of the aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strip, clean, and prep aircraft for exterior refinishing
  • Paint the exterior of the aircraft
  • Touch up detail paint work as required
  • Identify issues, recommend proper corrective action, and provide instructions on corrective procedures
  • Complete all necessary paperwork related to job function
  • Participate in and support the company's SMS program
Requirements:
  • Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of experience in spray painting, body shop, or factory painting
  • Aircraft or other painting experience is preferred
  • Sanding of fibreglass experience is preferred
  • Prepping, masking, custom work, or detailing experience is preferred
Working Conditions:
  • Physical Effort: Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Sitting or standing for long periods of time
  • Crouching, bending, kneeling
  • Must be able to work from heights
