About the Role
The Yard Worker - Equipment Maintenance role is a key position within our organization, responsible for ensuring the efficient stationing and retrieval of equipment on our location's property. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Station and retrieve equipment on the location's property, ensuring timely and efficient service to our customers.
- Maintain a written maintenance schedule to ensure equipment meets all set specifications.
- Service equipment as necessary to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
- Inspect equipment prior to and after rental to document any lost or damaged equipment.
- Perform wash bay duties, including cleaning and maintaining equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience with common construction and industrial tools preferred.
- Some experience and/or training in repair of mechanical equipment preferred.
Desirable Skills and Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers (written and oral).
- Ability to perform basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc).
- General mechanical aptitude.
- Safety-focus.
Physical Demands
The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.
