Glen-Merritt Collision Ltd is seeking a skilled Collision Repair Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for repairing and refinishing vehicles to their pre-accident condition.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and Maintain Workspace: Ensure a safe and organized work environment by cleaning and maintaining your workspace.
- Repair and Refinish Vehicles: Use your expertise to repair and refinish vehicles, including replacing front end components, body components, doors, and frame and underbody components.
- File, Grind, and Sand Body Surfaces: Use specialized equipment to file, grind, and sand body surfaces to be repaired.
- Hammer Out Dents and Defects: Use blocks and hammers to remove dents and defects from vehicle bodies.
- Remove and Replace Damaged Components: Remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills, and bolt or weld replacement parts into place.
- Repair or Replace Interior Components: Repair or replace interior components, including seats, carpets, and trim.
- Straighten Bent Frames: Use frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment to straighten bent frames.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the automotive body repair industry.
- Equivalent Experience: Equivalent experience in a related field may be considered.
- Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and deadlines.
- Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure quality repairs.
- Bending, Crouching, Kneeling: Perform tasks that require bending, crouching, and kneeling.
- Dependability: Demonstrate dependability and reliability in your work.
- Team Player: Work effectively as part of a team to achieve common goals.
