At ERM, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Sustainability Specialist to join our team in Western Canada. As a key member of our Sustainable Operations group, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients' environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of EHS regulatory compliance, management systems, and sustainability frameworks. You will lead audits, develop strategies, and provide technical support to clients across various industries.

You will have the opportunity to work with an expert consulting team on challenging EHS management projects for large global clients. Access to ERM's international experts provides knowledge sharing of best practices across industry sectors and ongoing learning opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead EHS compliance, management system, and sustainability framework audits as a single auditor or part of an audit team.
  • Develop and implement EHS strategies, processes, plans, and reports to support client management systems and programs.
  • Conduct training, in-field coaching, and lead meetings/presentations to improve safety performance.
  • Project manage sustainable operations national and global programs, creating effective teams that operate safely in various industrial sectors.
  • Support Partners and Project Managers to effectively manage and deliver projects.
  • Build strong client relationships leading to repeat business.
  • Broad experience in assessing EHS management systems, including high hazard industries such as mining, manufacturing, chemical, and power generation sectors.
