We are seeking a skilled Construction Labourer to join our team at Zimcoat Inc. as a permanent employee. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in various construction tasks, ensuring the smooth execution of projects.
Key Responsibilities- Site Preparation: Assist in loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials to and from the site.
- Formwork and Scaffolding: Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
- Mixing and Pouring: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt under the guidance of experienced personnel.
- Support Services: Assist medical examiners, help in aligning pipes during pipeline construction, and participate in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites.
- Site Maintenance: Level earth to fine grade specifications, assist in demolishing buildings, clean up chemical spills, and remove rubble and other debris.
- Machinery Operation: Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction, ensuring their proper functioning.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
- Security and Safety: A criminal record check will be required.
- Transportation: Public transportation is available for commuting to the site.
- Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination.
- Personal Suitability: Flexibility, reliability, hardworking, and a strong work ethic.
The successful candidate will work 40 hours per week in a permanent position. The work language is English.
