Job Summary:

Bureau Veritas is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sample Receiver/Inspector to join our team in the Environmental Sample Reception Department. As a Sample Receiver/Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our laboratory services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and unpack test samples from external customers
  • Organize samples according to analytical requirements
  • Enter client and sample information into our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
  • Ensure proper sample storage and handling
  • Work within established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) protocols
  • Be accountable for accuracy of results and data entry
  • Recognize and report routine and non-routine problems to management or supervisors
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Chemical Technician Diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Able to lift 40lbs
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Ability to learn and understand analytical requests
  • Able to work independently and in a team setting
  • Prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • Dynamic and energetic individual with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Good laboratory skills and ability to maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Ability to follow all health and safety policies of the company
