We are seeking a skilled Clinician to join our Geriatric Program as a part of a multidisciplinary team providing assessment, treatment, consultation and follow-up services to mentally ill elderly clients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical services to elderly clients and their caregivers, including comprehensive psychosocial assessments and treatment planning.
- Develop and implement treatment plans using a variety of psychosocial treatment modalities, crisis intervention and family counseling.
- Collaborate with other team members to provide liaison with relevant community agencies and participate in community education.
- Maintain accurate clinical and statistical documentation and provide consultation and support to families and caregivers.
- Facilitate client and caregiver utilization of appropriate community services and provide consultation and develops care and treatment plans for shared clients.
- Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical Counseling or other relevant health-related discipline.
- One year's recent, related experience with Geriatric psychiatry clients in a recognized psychiatric and/or community mental health setting.
- Eligible for registration with relevant professional association.
- Valid Class V BC Driver's Licence and possession of a personal vehicle.
