Merchandise Coordinator

Job Summary:

The Retail Merchandiser is a part-time role that is an integral part of the field merchandising team at Hallmark Canada. Reporting to the Territory Manager, this position is responsible for the maintenance of Hallmark departments in mass channel accounts, including ordering, receiving, and merchandising of product in accordance with a master schedule and merchandising plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports merchandising services with inventory management and merchandising activities in assigned retail accounts or multiple retail accounts, including everyday products and seasonal products.
  • Maintains scheduled service visits each week and stays within set budgets, adapting to fluctuations in retail occasions.
  • Follows merchandising plans, productivity standards, and schedules provided, with attention to detail and flexibility to react to issues that arise on the job site.
  • Provides additional support for vacant accounts, holiday periods, and seasonal peak demand periods.
  • Supports department revisions, remerchandising, relocations, and new store installations as required.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Maintains ongoing communication with the Territory Manager to ensure current knowledge of upcoming programs and in-store activities.
  • Liaises with account management as a Hallmark representative, building and maintaining strong working relationships with account-level management.
  • Communicates effectively with the Territory Manager to ensure accounts are being serviced and merchandised to meet or exceed retail standards.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Experience in a retail environment is beneficial
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Strong knowledge of smartphone technology and ability to effectively manage an email account
