Job Summary

: We are seeking a qualified High School Teacher - Humanities to join our team at York Region District School Board. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Grade 7-12 Humanities subjects in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

:
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and curriculum to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to ensure academic success
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to promote a positive and supportive school culture

Requirements

:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or applicable equivalent
  • Alberta Teaching Certificate or eligibility to obtain
  • Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit
