We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist to join our team at Health PEI. As a Physiotherapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality physiotherapy services to patients, promoting understanding of our hospital's services, and participating in service planning and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Assessment and Care: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, prioritize caseloads, and develop effective treatment plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Education and Training: Educate patients, caregivers, staff, and students on treatment plans, conditions, and prognoses, and provide training and mentorship to rehabilitation assistants.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, recognize the need for interdisciplinary collaboration, and make referrals or consults as necessary.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Supervise rehabilitation assistants, participate in committees or teams, and lead training sessions for clients and staff.
- Education: Master's Degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy.
- Licensure: Eligibility for licensing with the Prince Edward Island College of Physiotherapists.
- Skills: Demonstrated ability to work independently, apply sound clinical decision-making, and communicate effectively with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
