Perinatal Care Specialist

The Perinatal Care Specialist will practice in a perinatal clinical setting and be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of client care.
Key responsibilities will include working in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team and ensuring the delivery of client-centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing healthcare needs.
This is a relief full-time opportunity until July 31, 2024, or the return of the incumbent.
The Perinatal Care Specialist will work shifts days and nights; rotating from 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00 hours.
About this location/unit:
Our hospital has an active, low-risk obstetrical unit that provides antenatal and postpartum care. We have approximately 240 births per year and provide more OB training for our staff.
We have 12-hour shifts and have 2 nurses on both days and nights.
At our hospital, our nurses are provided with the exposure to varying levels of acuity in the cases that we see, providing them the ability to work to full scope in their practice.
