Job Summary:
In this position, you will be responsible for assisting in the processing and packaging of fresh and frozen fish products. Your attention to detail and adherence to food safety regulations will be critical to ensure the delivery of high-quality seafood to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize equipment, work surfaces, and processing areas regularly to maintain a hygienic environment
- Sort, wash, and prepare fish for processing and packaging according to company standards
- Cut, fillet, and debone fish using specialized tools and techniques
- Package fish products accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper labeling and date coding
- Operate machinery such as mixers, slicers, and blenders in a safe and efficient manner
- Monitor and maintain temperature control in storage areas and refrigerators
- Maintain accurate records of production and inventory
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a food processing environment preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while standing for long periods
- Flexible availability to work different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in cold and wet conditions
- Good communication and teamwork skills
