Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to join our team at Saint-Gobain Group. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of our financial policies and procedures, as well as identifying opportunities for performance and profitability improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting
    • Prepare and analyze financial reports to ensure accurate and timely information for management decision-making
    • Identify and investigate variances in financial results, and implement corrective actions as necessary
  • Cost Control and Optimization
    • Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency
    • Collaborate with plant management to identify and prioritize cost reduction opportunities
  • Inventory Management and Control
    • Verify and reconcile inventory levels to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies
    • Work with the central Shared Service Accounting (SSA) team to prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Month-End Closing and Analysis
    • Prepare and analyze financial results, including income statements and balance sheets
    • Identify and address any discrepancies or issues in financial reporting
  • Support to Plant and Group Management
    • Provide financial analysis and support to plant and group management teams
    • Assist in the preparation of ad-hoc analyses and reports as required
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA, CMA, or equivalent
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive cost accounting and analysis experience in a major manufacturing organization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly grasp complex financial issues
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • Strong systems aptitude, with experience in business warehouse tools and MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong client service orientation
