Job Title: Memory Firmware Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Memory Firmware Engineer to join our team at LanceSoft, Inc. As a key member of our Memory IO team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-speed memory interfaces, including DDR and LPDDR IPs.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop firmware for DDR PHY and DRAM training steps
  • Develop firmware for DDR PHY for ATE testing, IP characterization, and SoC power management
  • Code and simulate firmware against architectural and RTL models in pre-silicon phase
  • Optimize DDR init and run-time firmware in post-silicon lab bring-up
  • Enhance DDR training to enable robust links for higher reliability and frequency margin
  • Collaborate with SoC and product firmware teams to define features and specifications
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience as a firmware engineer
  • Excellent knowledge of C, C++, and scripting languages; Verilog and Python are a plus
  • Ability to adapt to new toolsets and frameworks
  • Strong understanding of synchronization techniques, clocking, and synchronization
  • Post-silicon experience developing firmware on real hardware; SERDES, DDR, Memory Controller, or MAC design experience is preferred
  • Strong understanding of computer organization and architecture
  • Laboratory experience, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.
  • Experience with low-level logic design, dealing with IO, clocking, voltage control, etc.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering; Master's or PhD is a plus
