Power Engineering Technician Student

We are seeking a Power Engineering Technician Student to join our Utilities Business Team Operations department at the Kearl Oilsands Facility. As a member of our team, you will be mentored by experienced utility plant technicians and gain exposure to the design, operation, and maintenance of large-scale power plant equipment.

• Assist in the safe and reliable operation of utility plant equipment and processes
• Maintain accurate records and reports on unit operations and performance
• Collaborate with other teams to identify areas for improvement and implement process changes
• Participate in daily tasks, including operator rounds, sampling, and equipment preparation

To be successful in this role, you will have recently completed your first year of a Power Engineering Technology diploma program and possess strong reasoning ability, good communication skills, and a high level of self-initiative.

You will also have experience working in a team environment and be comfortable working in a 14/14 rotation with alternating day and night shifts. Additionally, you will require a valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license and a safe driving record.
