We are seeking an experienced and skilled Electrical Wind Specialist to join our team in Hamilton, ON. As an Electrical Wind Specialist, you will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing electric motors, generators, transformers, and other electro-mechanical equipment.

About the Role:

  • You will work hands-on with various electrical and mechanical equipment, from electric motors to industrial transformers.
  • Your attention to detail and safety-conscious approach will ensure the efficient operation of our machinery.
  • You will have the opportunity to fabricate or recondition parts using machining tools and replace or recondition critical components, including bearings, shafts, and commutators.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and Troubleshoot Equipment: Inspect electric motors, generators, transformers, and other electro-mechanical equipment to identify defects or malfunctions.
  • Repair and Maintain Equipment: Repair and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend its lifespan.
  • Fabricate and Recondition Parts: Fabricate or recondition parts using machining tools to meet specific requirements.
  • Replace and Recondition Components: Replace or recondition critical components, including bearings, shafts, and commutators.

Specializations:

  • Our team focuses on electric motors, transformers, industrial motors, rotors, shafts, bearings, coils, armatures, and generators.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • You will work on-site in a dynamic, hands-on environment with some noise.
  • The role requires standing, bending, crouching, and kneeling for extended periods.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role is required.
  • You must have completed secondary school with relevant training or vocational program.
  • You will need to provide your own tools, safety equipment, steel-toed boots, and reliable transportation.
