Job Description:

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team at RhynoCare in the Paris area. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated healthcare professional to provide high-quality nursing care to our residents.

About the Role:

This position involves working on early morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts with consistent hours and a set schedule until further notice. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care.

You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of our residents. Your role will also involve ensuring timely and accessible admissions, transfers, and discharges, as well as managing medications and narcotics safely.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Deals with others in an effective, compassionate, and supportive manner
  • Respects each resident as an individual and is aware of his/her need for self-respect and privacy, and the right to share in decisions about his/her care
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Long Term Care Act, Program Standards for Long Term Care, and other pertinent Federal, Provincial, and Municipal Statutes
  • Medical Clearance (including but not limited to TB tests)
  • Vulnerable Sector Police Check and/or Adult Abuse Registry Check
  • Clear Criminal Record check
