Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Chief Technology Officer to lead our Technology Team and drive the success of our BMW Group accounts. As a key member of our office leadership team, you will be responsible for providing technical strategy and leadership within our company and to our clients.


About the Role:


  1. Lead and Grow the BMW Group Accounts and Talent: You will be responsible for leading and growing our BMW Group accounts, including BMW USA, MINI USA, and BMW FS. This will involve developing and executing strategies to drive business growth and talent development.
  2. Provide Technical Strategy and Leadership: You will provide technical strategy and leadership within our company and to our clients, ensuring that our technology solutions meet their needs and exceed their expectations.
  3. Partner with Other Disciplines: You will partner with other disciplines to elevate the digital experiences we deliver across the ecosystem, ensuring that our technology solutions are integrated and seamless.
  4. Navigate Conversations: You will navigate conversations between BMW US & HQ clients, ensuring that their needs are met and that our technology solutions are aligned with their business goals.
  5. Propel Platform Evolution: You will propel platform evolution and innovation, ensuring that our technology solutions are always ahead of the curve and meeting the changing needs of our clients.
  6. Maintain Relationships: You will maintain relationships with clients across Marketing, IT, and other departments, ensuring that our technology solutions are aligned with their business goals and that their needs are met.
  7. Lead Marketing Technology Initiatives: You will lead marketing technology initiatives involving creative automation, real-time personalization, channel data integration & activation, progressive profiling, and data engineering.
  8. Mentor Technology Directors: You will directly mentor Technology Directors and Technology Leads, and indirectly guide the careers of their direct reports.
  9. Support Organic Growth: You will support organic growth, ensuring that our technology solutions are aligned with our business goals and that our clients are satisfied with our services.
  10. Balance Skills and Casting: You will balance skills and casting across the account group, ensuring that our technology solutions are always ahead of the curve and meeting the changing needs of our clients.
  11. Contribute to CM Technology Discipline Initiatives: You will contribute to and support CM Technology Discipline initiatives, ensuring that our technology solutions are always aligned with our business goals and that our clients are satisfied with our services.

About You:


  1. Post-Secondary Education: You will have a post-secondary education in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  2. Unique Expertise: You will have unique expertise that enhances our ability to deliver experiences across the digital ecosystem.
  3. Experience with Adobe Experience Cloud: You will have experience working with Adobe Experience Cloud solutions, namely AEM, Target, and Analytics.
  4. Experience in Automotive Industry: You will have experience in the automotive industry, optionally other industries such as financial services, higher education, healthcare, and hospitality.
  6. Managed Multiple Clients: You will have managed multiple concurrent clients and projects alongside new business pursuits.
  7. Public Facing Representative: You will have acted as a public facing representative of your organization.
  8. Mentored Managers: You will have directly mentored managers and overseen distributed teams.
