Job Summary:

The Early Childhood Educator will be responsible for leading activities, ordering supplies, and engaging children in various activities. You will also guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, and observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
  • Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors
  • Knowledge of licensing regulations
  • Establish guidelines for behavior
Support for Persons with Disabilities:
  • Provides physical accessibility accommodations (for example: ramps, elevators, etc.)
  • Provides visual accessibility accommodations (for example: braille, screen readers, etc.)

  • Assists with immediate transition needs of Veterans (for example: relocation, housing, etc.)
  • Offers workshops, counseling services, or other resources to help Veterans navigate their transition into the civilian workforce (for example: adapting to different organizational structures)
  • Supports Veterans in translating their military skills and experience into the language of the civilian job market
