The Role:
Our Mechanics will safely operate, repair, and maintain Company-owned or leased heavy-duty diesel and alternative fuel trucks and equipment.
This is essential to ensuring our Drivers can continue to provide top-notch waste removal and environmental services to our customers.

A Day in the Life:
- Arrive at the workstation, which services a large fleet of industrial equipment, including waste and recycling vehicles, off-loaders, skid-steers, and forklifts.
- Meet with your Supervisor and the team to receive daily tasks, which may involve working independently or alongside other technicians.
- Perform assigned labor tasks, including:
- Preventative maintenance, such as basic vehicle servicing to engine or transmission overhaul
- Diagnose and repair operational difficulties with heavy-duty trucks and equipment
- Complete reports, work orders, order parts, and perform other administrative duties
- Plan and schedule repairs in the M5 planner and procure all necessary parts
- Assist in reviewing mechanical write-ups on equipment and coordinate the repair schedule
- Complete other responsibilities as requested by management
Requirements:
Our Mechanics must be able to:
- Be currently enrolled in a Heavy Duty 3rd or 4th year apprenticeship program, or hold their Red Seal Certification
- Be computer literate and willing to learn software systems
- Meet relevant criteria for safety-sensitive functions according to Company standards
- Use diagnostic software, if applicable
- Follow detailed instructions, work independently, and maintain accurate records
- Operate any vehicle or equipment necessary to perform their job
- Possess the physical ability to perform all aspects of the job
