As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for selling exhibit space to businesses in the remodeling, home décor, landscaping, and building industries for our premier home shows in Winnipeg, MB.
Key Responsibilities- Sell exhibit space in home shows via outbound telephone calls and limited face-to-face calls
- Sell add-on advertising/marketing opportunities to customers
- Meet weekly, monthly, and annual sales goals and related targets
- Work in CRM program; document and complete all sales conversations and information
- Develop and maintain relationships with exhibitors; ensure customer satisfaction and provide excellent service
- Use consumer research to understand attendee demographics and help sell in the right exhibitors
- Constantly seek out leads for potential exhibitors from various sources
- Build and maintain sales database using existing processes and guidelines
- Join relevant professional associations and network with membership
- Attend competitive shows and events, and follow up on leads immediately
- Source local sponsorship leads
- Understand show features, marketing/promotional plan, and utilize this information
- Provide on-site floor management at the show and assist show management with coordination
- Bring personal energy, enthusiasm, and flair to the sales team
- Ensure all e-contracts are signed and space is paid in full on time
- Collection calls as needed
- Travel to company meetings, shows, and training
- 2+ years of proven sales experience, preferably in a telephone-based, inside sales, outbound calling environment
- College degree preferred
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including presentation skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet conflicting deadlines
- Self-starter with ability to work independently and in a team environment
- High level of emotional intelligence and self-awareness, and stress management skills
- Experience in events is a plus
