Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects. This will involve reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements, as well as preparing estimates for general expenses and overheads.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects
  2. Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
  3. Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads
  4. Provide economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects
  5. Project cash flow and financing requirements
  6. Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms
  7. Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems
  8. Monitor and adjust contract expenditures
  9. Prepare and maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors
Work Environment:

This is a permanent, on-the-road position, requiring the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will be required to work 30 hours per week, with a focus on delivering high-quality estimates and reports.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential for this role.
