About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Trades Helper to join our team at SHAN DRYWALL LTD. as a Drywall Installation Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting our experienced drywall installers with various tasks related to drywall installation, surface preparation, and material handling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, including drywall sheets, to and from job sites.
  • Surface Preparation: Assist with drywall taping and patching to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Construction Site Support: Remove rubble and other debris from construction sites, and clean and pile salvaged materials.
  • Measurement and Installation: Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets as required.
Work Environment

As a Construction Trades Helper, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment, often at heights, in confined spaces, and in dusty conditions. You must be willing to relocate to various locations and be flexible with your work schedule.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but experience is an asset.
  • Physical Demands: You must be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Personal Qualities: You must be a team player, reliable, and flexible, with a strong work ethic.
