About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Sandmere Construction. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare Building Layouts: Use measuring tools to create accurate layouts in compliance with building codes.
  • Measure and Cut Materials: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • Install Windows and Doors: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Survey Building Locations: Conduct site surveys to ensure building locations and levels are accurate.
  • Maintain and Repair Structures: Perform maintenance, repair, and renovation work on residences and wooden structures in various establishments.
Requirements
  • Education: Hold a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Possess 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the trade.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: Work 35 to 40 hours per week.
