Technical Advisor to CTO

The Office of the CTO at Score Media and Gaming Inc. is a team of technical experts who drive innovation and strategy across the organization. As a Technical Advisor to the CTO, you will play a critical role in extending the capacity of the CTO and the broader team by generating research, synthesizing insights, and driving initiatives that span across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate research and insights on key technical domains, including cloud computing, cloud data center design, and distributed solution needs in high-scale scenarios.
  • Drive projects that require collaboration from multiple teams across the interactive division, while sharing a common strategic vision.
  • Help teams evolve their understanding of a new Penn Interactive culture of engineering, in partnership with engineering leadership.
  • Produce reading material for the CTO and senior engineering leaders, summarizing key points and prioritizing order of consumption.
  • Drill down into technical areas based on the CTO's request and personal sense of company priorities/market trends.
Requirements
  • 15+ years of Technical Program Management and/or Software Engineering experience.
  • Experience building software for customers, using bleeding-edge technologies.
  • Master's or PhD in Computer Science or related Engineering fields.
  • Proven customer-facing experience, with startup experience considered an asset.
  • Thorough understanding of cloud computing, cloud data center design, and distributed solution needs in high-scale scenarios.
  • Able to build bridges and assist the CTO with developing relationships with external industry and academic thought leaders.
