Maternity Cover: Governance Professional to the Directors and Local Governing Bodies

PACE Academy Trust is seeking a well-organised administrator with excellent written skills to cover the role of our governance professional during her forthcoming maternity leave. Our governance professional provides support to the trust's Board of Directors and to the governors of four local governing bodies.

We are looking for one or more individuals to cover this role, and candidates who wish to clerk for one or two schools are welcome to apply.

This fixed-term role will involve providing administrative support to our governance professional, including minute-taking, advising directors and local governors on their responsibilities, and administering meetings. We use the online portal of the Trust Governor to store and circulate all papers.

We require someone who is efficient, personable, and self-motivated with excellent organisation and administrative skills. The ideal candidate will have:

  1. experience as an administrator, used to working to deadlines
  2. close attention to detail
  3. confidence working independently
  4. excellent written skills
  5. confidence and competence in the use of IT, including Microsoft 365
  6. experience of minute-taking
  7. some experience of governance within an organisation

We can offer a competitive hourly rate of £17.50, flexible working hours during school term times, and a fascinating role supporting our governance volunteers and leaders across the trust and four of our schools.
