Job Description

New Value Solutions, a leading national IT consulting company, is seeking a seasoned Project Director to support our client in the deployment of datacenter management tools and projects. The successful candidate will ensure alignment with future strategies following the transition to a new managed service provider.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Provide project leadership for the development and implementation of a series of solutions as defined by the Director of Technology and Architecture.
  • Project Planning: Establish and report on a project plan for the identified solutions, ensuring timely completion and effective resource allocation.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Establish effective communication channels with internal stakeholders, datacenter managed service provider, and project team to keep them informed about the status of ongoing events, transition activities, and to ensure alignment.
  • Technical Coordination: Collaborate closely with the IT team and the new service provider to ensure a seamless transfer of data, systems, and applications.
  • Change Management: Develop change management strategies to facilitate user adoption and minimize resistance to the transition.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish performance metrics and monitor the new service provider's adherence to SLAs and agreed-upon service levels, generating regular reports and providing updates to senior management.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, data center technologies, and systems integration.
  • Familiarity with datacenter management, cloud services, and managed service providers.
  • Proven experience in leading large-scale IT projects from initiation to completion, including planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Strong proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage relationships and communications with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in coordinating with multiple departments and ensuring alignment across different teams.
  • Experience developing and executing change management strategies to drive user adoption and minimize resistance.
  • Knowledge of training and support techniques to facilitate smooth transitions for end-users.
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot technical issues, especially during system migrations and infrastructure updates.
  • Strong analytical thinking with attention to detail in monitoring performance metrics and assessing risks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for preparing reports, delivering presentations, and facilitating workshops.
  • Experience in crafting and executing communication plans for diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Proven leadership abilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams and projects.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners, promoting teamwork and a collaborative environment.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
