About the Role

The Co-op Coordinator is a key position that plays a vital role in guiding and supporting co-op students in their career and work search, and providing employment coaching during their co-op work terms. The successful candidate will also work closely with employers to create co-op education opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Career coaching and guidance to co-op students
  • Development and marketing of education-related employment opportunities
  • Curriculum development and instructional design
  • Facilitating career preparation workshops and providing employment guidance
  • Evaluating student work term reports and resolving issues or difficulties during work terms
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline and three years of related experience
  • Excellent knowledge of student career development, learning skills theory, research, and current employment trends and practices
  • Excellent marketing skills to develop marketing strategies and promote the co-operative education program
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work closely with students, employers, faculty, and staff members
  • Experience with curriculum development, instructional design, and web-based teaching and learning
