Job Overview:

New Value Solutions, a leading national IT consulting firm, is seeking an experienced UX/UI designer to drive large-scale business modernization programs.

This role entails designing cohesive and unified user experiences across multiple projects, tools, and systems. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create seamless interactions, consistent design languages, and intuitive workflows.

The successful candidate will possess expertise in user-centered design principles and creating visually appealing interfaces tailored to the unique needs of the agriculture industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • User Research & Analysis: Conduct interviews, surveys, and usability testing to understand user needs. Create personas and journey maps to guide design decisions.
  • Design & Development: Design wireframes, prototypes, and mockups; ensure WCAG compliance and collaborate with developers to bring designs to life.
  • Unified Design System: Develop and maintain a design system for consistent user experiences across platforms.
  • Collaboration: Work with stakeholders, including product managers, developers, and branding teams, to align designs with business and technical goals.
  • Conduct usability testing, analyze data, and refine designs iteratively.
  • Train internal teams and create resources for sustained UX/UI practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in UX/UI Design, Graphic Design, or related field.
  • Certification in UX Design (e.g., Certified User Experience Analyst, Google UX Design).
  • ~5+ years of experience in UX/UI design with a portfolio showcasing complex, user-centered solutions.
  • Experience in designing wireframes, prototypes, and mockups, particularly in the agriculture, insurance, or public service sectors.
  • Proven ability to conduct user research and usability testing with diverse user groups.
  • Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards and Canadian data privacy laws.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with SaaS P&C insurance platforms and responsive design.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design tools (e.g., understanding of data visualization techniques and data-driven platform design).

Compensation: The hourly rate range for this position is $70-$100, with the final rate based on consultant experience and fit for the role.
