Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Tax Manager to join our team at BMO Financial Group. As a key member of our finance and accounting team, you will be responsible for providing expert tax advice and guidance to support the bank's strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize financial risk and maximize returns
  • Provide expert advice on tax legislation and regulations to senior leaders and stakeholders
  • Manage and lead the execution of tax accounting and reporting programs
  • Conduct independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to collect and provide tax information
  • Monitor compliance with tax policies, procedures, and controls to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial information
Requirements
  • Typically 7+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Accounting designation required
  • Working knowledge in the application of corporate taxes for the assigned jurisdiction(s)/portfolio
  • Working knowledge in the application of tax accounting concepts
  • Working knowledge of specialized tax return software
  • Able to manage ambiguity
  • Data-driven decision making - In-depth / Expert
