About the Role
Angus Consulting Management Limited is seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team in the GTA region.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform minor and major repairs, including work on faucets, toilets, flush valves, pressure relief valves, and pressure reducing valves.
- Operate threaders and remove, replace, or repair pipes of various materials, including cast iron, plastic, stainless steel, black iron, copper, glass, and Victaulic.
- Work on heating, cooling, domestic cold water, pumps, heat exchangers, humidifiers, boilers, and urinals.
- Troubleshoot, rebuild, or replace pumps, including submersible, sump, centrifugal, and piston pumps.
- Solder, braze, or use open-flame welding to connect tubing to pipes up to 4 inches in diameter.
- Manage materials and create inventory lists to reduce waste.
- Price jobs, create material lists for invoices, and send invoices to the office for billing.
- Maintain positive relationships with tenants and clients through effective communication and attend project commissioning handover meetings.
- Escalate unusual events or occurrences.
- Complete preventive and demand maintenance tasks, inputting histories as required.
- Manage projects to completion, installing new equipment or replacing like-for-like items.
- Assist or delegate other classifications or trades as needed.
Requirements
- Red Seal interprovincial Plumbing ticket or Master Plumber (preferred).
- Gas ticket, G2.
- Backflow prevention ticket and testing experience.
- HVAC certification (an asset).
- Valid driver's license.
- 5-10 years of service experience in plumbing and HVAC.
- Ability to self-manage and delegate.
- Ability to effectively read blueprints and schematics.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (oral and written).
