Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled tradesperson to join our team as an apprentice plumber at Altrex Plumbing and Heating Ltd. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.

The successful candidate will have completed secondary education and possess relevant work experience or equivalent. As an apprentice plumber, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining domestic, commercial, and industrial plumbing fixtures and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and repair plumbing systems: Our ideal candidate will be able to install new plumbing fixtures and systems, as well as repair existing ones, ensuring they meet the required standards and specifications.
  • Lay out pipe connections and measure pipes: You will be responsible for determining piping system requirements, measuring, cutting, threading, and bending pipes to the correct shape and size.
  • Work in confined spaces and wet/damp environments: As an apprentice plumber, you must be comfortable working in confined spaces and wet/damp environments, which can be physically demanding.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively: Our team relies on accurate communication and record-keeping, so you should have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Secondary education: We require candidates to have completed secondary education, or equivalent.
  • Relevant work experience: While not essential, relevant work experience or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Pysical capabilities: The job requires physical demands, including bending, crouching, and kneeling.
