About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Furniture Restoration Specialist to join our team at Coquitlam Upholstery Shop Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for restoring and refinishing furniture to its original glory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Discuss upholstery fabric, colour and style with customers to ensure their vision is brought to life.
  • Replace worn-out webbing, springs and other furniture parts to ensure the piece is structurally sound.
  • Tack, glue or sew ornamental trim, braids or buttons to add a touch of elegance.
  • Repair furniture frames and refinish wood surfaces to restore the piece to its original beauty.
  • Make custom designs for clients to meet their unique needs.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in furniture upholstery and repair.
  • Ability to work in a dusty environment.
  • Manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand-eye co-ordination, and ability to distinguish between colours.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and bending, crouching, kneeling.

Hours of Work

40 hours per week.
